Edelweiss, from the German "edel" meaning "noble" and "weiss", "white", combines rarity, purity, freshness and sweetness. In addition to its mythical aura, the jewel of the Swiss Alps has natural powers. Dr. Ivan Slacanin, a phytochemist, has been interested in it for many years. He was the first researcher to extract and analyze molecules from edelweiss in 1996.
